Job Details: Program Information Accenture North America H and PS Operations, Proposal Response Center, includes a team in India at various locations whose goal is to support proposal writing for North American clients. A group of relatively new hires in India needs to improve its level of English skills to be able to prepare various sections of proposals according to internal Accenture proposal development processes. An initial 10-week program of 60 hours (2 hours/day, Monday-Wednesday-Friday) is being developed that will be team taught by an Accenture proposal specialist and a specialist in English for Occupational Purposes (EOP). The training program will take place at Accenture offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. Accenture is seeking two teachers, one for each location, who will receive training and mentoring by the EOP specialist so as to be able to take over responsibility for the classes at some point during the 10 weeks, with continuing support and oversight provided by the EOP specialist. Key Responsibilities During the training / mentorship period, key responsibilities will relate to supporting the EOP specialist in teaching basic English language skills in the context of proposal development tasks. These tasks include identifying compliance requirements in the solicitation document and preparing Resumes, Past Performance entries, and other proposal sections such as Project Management, Quality Management, and Risk Management. Training emphasis will be on the language systems of grammar, vocabulary, and cultural usage; and on the language skills of writing and reading. Teacher training / mentoring will include pre-lesson briefing, observing lesson delivery, and post-lesson debriefing. It will also include helping the EOP specialist with correcting class exercises; preparing material for the next lesson; and developing, administering, and correcting periodic (formative) tests. A special activity for assistance will be carrying out error analysis (EA) of trainee work and providing one-on-one feedback to trainees about their errors in descriptive, not judgmental, terms. As progress is made, team teaching, then observed solo teaching will precede taking over full responsibilities for teaching the class. Full teaching responsibilities will include lesson development for language skills and systems customized to proposal development tasks, lesson delivery, and lesson follow up including one-on-one feedback sessions; formative and summative testing; relationship building with trainees; and working with the EOP specialist who will continue to provide support and oversight.
